Best Sales Funnel Builder in 2026: GoHighLevel vs ClickFunnels and Kartra
In short
The best sales funnel builder depends on whether you only sell funnels or run a whole business behind them. This ranks 10 tools on features, automation and cost as you grow, with GoHighLevel first because the funnel, the CRM and the follow-up share one account.
I once watched a client pay for a beautiful funnel builder, launch a funnel that converted well, and still lose most of the leads. The pages were fine. The problem was everything after the opt-in, the part nobody shops for. The leads landed in a spreadsheet nobody had open, no text went out for the best part of a day, and by the time anyone followed up those people had already booked with whoever replied first.
That's the thing these round-ups skip. A funnel is not the page. It's the page, plus whatever catches the lead the second they fill it in, plus everything that carries them from there to a sale.
So this ranks 10 sales funnel builders on that whole job. Not just how pretty the editor is. I scored each on features, automation, total cost as it grows, and who it really suits. Every price below was checked in October 2026, and vendors move them, so check again before you buy.
What a sales funnel builder actually has to do
Three jobs. Only the first is the one people actually shop for, which is exactly why so many funnels underperform.
Build the page. Opt-in, sales page, order form, upsell, thank-you, and every tool on this list does this part, most of them well enough that the editor is rarely what decides it.
Catch the lead. The second someone opts in, something has to text them, tag them and start a sequence, all before they've closed the tab and clicked the next ad. This is where funnels win or lose. It's the half a landing-page tool leaves to you.
Carry them to the sale. Booking, email follow-up, a CRM that quietly tracks who opened what and flags the ones worth a call. A page can't do that. A platform can.
Shop for that first job on its own and you'll buy a cheap builder, feel clever for a month, then slowly spend more than the all-in-one would have cost stitching the other two jobs together with a CRM, an autoresponder and a connector that break quietly in the gaps between each other.
Why can GoHighLevel do all three on one account?
Because the funnel and the follow-up share one record. In GoHighLevel every lead sits on a single contact record, and that one page holds their opt-in, every message they've had, the tags that sort them and the slot they booked, so nothing has to be copied from one tool into another. The page writes to that record, so the next step can start on its own.
- Trigger: someone opts in on your funnel page.
- Action: a text goes out inside a minute, a deal appears in the pipeline, and a nurture sequence starts.
- Result: the lead is in a conversation while they still remember clicking, not sitting in an export nobody reads.
A standalone builder stops at the page and hands you a CSV. The work it leaves you is the work that loses leads. If you're still deciding between a funnel and a plain site in the first place, I pulled that apart in website vs funnel.
The 10 sales funnel builders, ranked
GoHighLevel: the funnel, the CRM and the follow-up on one record
GoHighLevel is $97, $297 or $497 a month. Even the $97 Starter includes the funnel builder, the CRM, email and SMS, which is the thing that separates it from the rest.
Strongest at the whole job. You build the page, and the opt-in already has somewhere to go: a text fires, a deal opens in the pipeline, and a booking link lands in the inbox while they're still on the thank-you page. On the $497 plan you can even rebrand the whole platform and sell it to clients as your own, which no pure funnel tool here does.
Where it stops: the page editor is capable rather than beautiful, and there's real setup time before it hums. So if you only need a fast landing page and nothing behind it, skip it. You'd be paying for a lot you'll never touch, and I'd send you lower down this list.
ClickFunnels: the biggest template library if funnels are the whole job
Launch is $97 a month, Scale $197, Optimize $297.
Strongest at selling funnels as a craft. The template library is the deepest here, the community is huge, and the whole workflow is built end to end around getting one funnel to convert.
Where it stops: the CRM only shows up at Scale ($197), and even then it's a single pipeline, which is a wall you hit in about week two once you're running more than one offer at a time.
Kartra: best when the product is a course or membership
Kartra runs $59, $119, $229 or $549 a month billed monthly, dropping to $52, $99, $189 and $429 on annual billing.
Strongest at selling and delivering online programmes. Courses, memberships, and the funnels that sell them are one tidy system here.
Where it stops: it's built around that one use case. For plain lead-gen funnels the CRM is thin. And there's no resale model, so an agency running client accounts after client accounts will outgrow it fast.
Systeme.io: the best free tier for a first funnel
Free for 3 funnels and 2,000 contacts. Paid plans are $17, $47 and $97 a month.
Strongest at getting a beginner live for nothing. The free plan is the real thing, not a teaser, and it covers email and a working funnel with no card on file. For a first launch that matters more than a feature list does.
Where it stops: the polish and the add-ons thin out as you scale, and it's a single-business tool at heart. Great place to start. Not always where you stay.
Leadpages: the cheapest way to publish pages fast
Pro is $15 a month and Business $25, with testing plans at $50 and $100.
Strongest at speed. If you just need good landing pages up quickly, with sales data behind them, Leadpages is cheap and fast and gets out of your way.
Where it stops: it's a page tool, not a business. No CRM. No follow-up. You bolt those on, and the bill climbs past the headline.
Unbounce: the strongest testing and dynamic text
Starter is $29 a month, Build $99, Experiment $149, Optimize $249.
Strongest at testing. A/B testing is sharp. Dynamic text replacement, which swaps the headline to match the ad someone clicked, is better here than anywhere else on this list.
Where it stops: price climbs fast with traffic, and like Leadpages it ends at the page. It's a specialist, not an all-in-one.
Instapage: built for paid-ads landing pages at scale
Create is $99 a month and Optimize $199, which tells you who it's for before you read another word.
Strongest at ad teams. Running many landing pages with tight message match and heatmaps, on a real media budget, is exactly what it was built for, and it does that better than anything cheaper on this list.
Where it stops: the entry price is high. For what is still, at heart, a landing-page builder, a small business won't use enough of it to justify $99.
GetResponse: email-first, with funnels attached
Starter is about EUR 16 a month at 1,000 contacts, then Marketer at EUR 54 and Creator at EUR 62, and the sales funnels only show up on Marketer and above.
Strongest at email marketing with a funnel bolted on, so if your whole model runs on big email lists and regular broadcasts rather than on live sales pages, this will do that core job as well as anything here and cheaper than most.
Where it stops: the funnel and CRM here are afterthoughts next to the email engine, so you're buying an email tool that happens to make pages. Not the reverse.
Carrd: the cheapest way to put one page online
Pro is $19 a year, and no, that isn't a typo for a month.
Strongest at one simple page: a link-in-bio, a coming-soon, a single-product pitch. Nothing on this list is cheaper, and nothing is faster to put online.
Where it stops: it's one page. No funnel logic, no automation, no CRM. It's the right tool only when "funnel" really means "a page."
Builderall: broad, cheap, and thin where it counts
Builderall's main pricing page didn't show plan figures when I checked in October 2026; it routes to a separate checkout.
Strongest at breadth, if breadth is the thing you're counting.
Where it stops: depth. It does a lot of things lightly. For a funnel meant to carry real revenue, light is the wrong trade.
So which should you actually buy?
Only need pages, fast and cheap? Buy Leadpages, or Carrd if it's truly one page.
Running serious paid traffic that lives or dies on testing? Unbounce or Instapage earn their keep at that scale, and not really below it.
Selling a course or a membership? Kartra. It's the honest pick, and it'll beat GoHighLevel at that one job.
No budget at all? Systeme.io's free plan gets you live tonight, and you can upgrade the day it starts paying for itself.
Everyone else, whose funnel feeds a real business with real follow-up? The one below.
What else the same subscription covers
The reason the $97 maths works is that the funnel builder is one feature among many. The same account also carries the CRM and pipelines, email and SMS campaigns, calendars and booking, review requests, and memberships and courses. On the $497 plan you can rebrand the lot and sell it to clients as your own software. I broke the full cost down in how much GoHighLevel costs.
That resale build? It's exactly what our done-for-you GoHighLevel snapshots arrive with, already assembled and ready to rebrand.
Who sets it up
GoHighLevel is the platform, and you subscribe to HighLevel directly. GHL Spark isn't HighLevel, and we don't resell the plan. We just build it, and the account stays yours from the first day.
The build is what we do: the funnel pages, the instant-response text, the pipeline, the nurture sequence and the booking calendar. Then we run a real opt-in through the whole path ourselves before we hand it over. If you'd rather see it ranked purely on the software, I did that in best sales funnel software.
